【Sermon】Possessing the Gates of the Enemy Series (4) - David Was Victorious in Everything He Did Because the Lord Was With Him!

2026-04-12 4

Introduction

Good morning. Today, I will expound on a victorious path, a truly excellent path to victory, as the fourth part of the series on seizing the gates of the enemy. Joshua seized the gates of the enemy, didn't he? He captured the enemy's cities. But David, whom we discuss today, was even more formidable. David was the most victorious figure in history. Therefore, you must learn from the best, and David was undoubtedly a master.

God said to David, "Wherever you go, the Lord your God will grant you victory." That is our topic today. Living without victory is a miserable existence. For instance, if others are admitted to university while you are not, or if others find employment and secure permits while you cannot, that is a state of defeat. Life is unbearable without victory.

For a nation, failure to achieve victory is a dire situation. In the minds of us Chinese, the Qing Dynasty was a period of defeat. The Sino-Japanese War, with the annihilation of the navy, and the subsequent unequal treaties ceding territories, were all signs of defeat. How can one endure days without victory? Thus, we must strive for victory.

Where does victory come from? How do we achieve it? The most crucial aspect is to draw upon God's promises. Victory does not depend on the swords in your hands, but on God's promises, on claiming them. The Bible is filled with figures, and when Abraham is mentioned, some say, "Well, how many Abrahams are there? I am not one of them."

Such a person lacks the very concept of victory. "How many Davids are there? I am not David." "How many Isaacs and Jacobs are there?" "How many Samuels, Moseses, Jesus Christs, or Apostle Pauls are there?" If their surname is Lee, they are "Lee the few"; if Wang, "Wang the few"; if You, "You the few." They can always find reasons for defeat. I am truly amazed. They find a multitude of reasons for not being victorious.

My logic is the opposite. What do you mean, "how many"? Even if there is only one, I must learn from them, mustn't I? Learn. So, what is the key? The Bible speaks of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Samuel, Moses, David, and a host of others. What is the purpose? It is for us to learn, isn't it? To learn. Learning means emulating. We should do as they did.

Emulation is a crucial term. I know you are not capable; I know your limitations. There is no issue with your inadequacy, as you were never capable to begin with. The question is whether you are willing to learn and emulate. I have always had a desire for guidance from masters. I have longed for their direction. Where are these masters? Do you know where to find them? I do not know them personally, and I have rarely encountered them in my life. Masters are found in books. Would a master not write books? China has produced many masters throughout history. For example, Guan Zhong, who assisted Duke Huan of Qi in becoming the leader of the Five Hegemons of the Spring and Autumn period, was remarkable.

Guan Zhong's writings on governing the state and managing the family are powerful and profound. Sun Tzu was also formidable, with his "Art of War." And those who have established schools of thought throughout history are all exceptional individuals. Today, I am gradually joining their ranks, as we establish the Mingding Doctrine.

The Bible is replete with masters, not just ordinary ones, but extraordinary ones. Abraham was a master. If you want to live well, you must emulate Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If you do not, you will suffer a great loss. The most foolish thing one can do is to live only as oneself.

"I must live out my own life." As if you are extraordinary, one in five hundred years, or like me, one in five thousand or fifty thousand years, a unique individual. Why do I say such a thing is one in five thousand years? Because it is so unique, entirely self-made, a mess. It is difficult not to make mistakes when one does not emulate others, when one does not learn. They are born that way and live accordingly, which is distressing to witness.

To save face, they claim, "I want to experience more in life." More experiences of failure, of being trampled upon, of painful events? Why experience so much? When I first took over this church, a young man said, "Pastor, I really want to be possessed by a demon." What kind of thinking is that?

A few days later, during a Bible study one evening, a demon threw him to the ground, convulsing. Several of us held him down, praying for him, and finally managed to calm him down. What is that called? Patting the chest and stroking the back. We were exhausted. Why emulate such a thing? If you want to experience something, why not be filled with the Spirit of God? "No, I want to experience a demon."

There are many who want to experience demons. My former boss, when he was young, was unconvinced and thought he was very capable. At two in the morning, he went to a cemetery and shouted, "Are there any ghosts? Come out and show yourselves!" He did not see any ghosts, but from then on, everything in his life went wrong. He was incredibly unlucky. I am deeply moved by how much one loses by not being victorious. But I want to tell you, God has predestined you for victory, do you know that? God has predestined you for victory, but you do not follow. God is ahead of you, securing victory, but when He looks back, where have you gone? Wandering off. What kind of thinking is that? If people do not know how to draw upon God's promises, God secures victory for us, and we simply reach out and seize the fruit of victory. The city of Jericho was toppled by God, and we enter and are victorious.

David struck down Goliath, and later Uriah was also dealt with. Did David defeat Goliath? David said, "I strike you down in the name of the Lord of hosts." We must learn to draw upon God's promises. Not by chariot, not by horse. "Do I have the blessing?" Foolish child, this is God's promise to everyone, but many do not know it.

What are we discussing today? "Wherever you go, the Lord will grant you victory." The hope is that you can also experience this. God sits on the throne, watching anxiously, isn't He? Watching you, He is concerned. "Why does this foolish child not want victory?" We must be clear that our victory in this world is due to our victory in the spiritual realm. If you can subdue the demons in the spiritual realm, you can handle the people in this world.

If you can handle the demons in the spiritual realm, you can handle everything else, because the things in this world are controlled by the spiritual realm. Jesus is a demon-expelling Jesus. The gospel we believe in is a demon-expelling gospel. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, healing the sick and casting out demons, healing many people. Many problems are closely related to demons.

If you have diabetes, it is the demon of diabetes; if you have skin disease, it is the demon of skin disease. If your mind is not sharp, there is a demon of dullness inside you. Poor academic performance is definitely related to demons, so expelling demons is crucial. We have enlightenment today, enlightenment tomorrow, enlightenment, enlightenment, enlightenment, and we have eliminated the matter of expelling demons. Where have we strayed? That is not enlightenment.

We bring in Inamori Kazuo's theories, which seem reasonable, and Nan Huaijin's teachings, which also seem reasonable. But do these things contain God's promises? Do they involve expelling demons? No. Why are you poor? Because of the demon of poverty. Why are people poor? Because blessings have been stolen by demons, and you do not fight. You spend all day seeking enlightenment, but you do not fight, so how can you be victorious?

Victory in the spiritual realm determines victory in the world. Drawing upon God's promises is crucial. The promises that Abraham received were promises in the spiritual world. If a person is not spiritual, it is tragic. You must become a victorious person, victorious in the spirit. Why are you not victorious? Because you do not learn. Chinese Mingding Doctrine has two crucial terms: emulation and inheritance. Others have achieved victory in the spiritual realm. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Joseph were all victorious people. Their victory in the spiritual realm brought about victory in the world. If you do not see the essence, how can you ultimately be victorious? You do not emulate, you do not inherit. Not learning is a matter of attitude.

Everything in this world is learned. Drawing is not something I was born knowing; I learned it, mechanical drawing and so on. Making a cabinet is something I learned. Everything I do is learned. I was not born different from you; I was born the same as you. I learned everything. So, do we need to learn about spiritual matters? Spiritual matters are also learned.

Some people find learning painful in every way except for their hair. Everything must be learned. Some find learning painful and give up, or they do it perfunctorily, just to make a show. They are ruining themselves. They do not care if they make mistakes; they just keep doing it. For example, when you practice for your driver's license exam, if you encounter a question you do not understand, you learn it until you understand it. Then, when you encounter the same question again, you will likely answer it correctly. The same point of knowledge, the same scoring point.

How can you fail the exam? If you do not understand, you keep practicing, regardless. Making mistakes is the best learning opportunity. You realize you do not understand something, so you learn it until you do. Then, when you encounter the same question again, you will answer it correctly. You start by scoring forty, then sixty, then eighty, and eventually ninety or more.

When someone tells me they are going to take the driver's license exam, I ask them what score they are getting in practice. If they say eighty, I tell them not to bother taking the exam. Why? Because it will be a waste of time and money. If you are consistently scoring ninety-five or ninety-eight in practice, you will definitely pass the exam. I feel that people suffer greatly by not learning.

I have come to realize that Alzheimer's disease often results from retirement, when people stop learning. One person with Alzheimer's used to be an engineer, a technical person, but after retirement, he just drank tea and read the newspaper. He developed Alzheimer's because he stopped learning, and everything became rigid. The things he had learned before were no longer useful. Now, we learn from David, Joshua, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.

What do we learn? We learn to draw upon God's promises. What is God's promise? "Wherever you go, the Lord will grant you victory." That is the key. Learn. I have been constantly learning throughout my life, and I am still learning now. There is so much I need to learn; I will never finish. What are you learning recently? I am currently learning about renovation.

Renovation and design require deep knowledge. I often look at excellent designs and learn from them. After learning, I realize, "This is beautiful." Even aesthetics must be learned. Some people do not know what is beautiful and create incredibly ugly renovations. Who would want that? Learn to draw upon God's promises. You must learn AI and other things. Many things require learning. If there is a learning component, it is a good job.

I often tell my brothers and sisters that if your boss gives you a job that requires learning, it is a good job. If it only involves operation, it is not a good job. But people often get it backward. When your boss gives you a job that requires learning, you think it is too difficult. When they give you a job that only requires operation, you are happy. Isn't that backward?

People who do not learn often have a significant misunderstanding. The other day, during a Bible study, a brother asked about fortune-telling using the Eight Characters. He said it was quite accurate. I know it is accurate, even if you consult a blind fortune-teller. But there is no promise from God. Some people say traditional Chinese medicine is good. It is good, but it does not have God's promise. Inamori Kazuo's "How to Live" and "How to Work" are good, and I have read them, but they do not have God's promise.

That fellow Nan Huaijin's stuff is alright, but it lacks God's promise. So, what should I learn? I should learn to draw upon God's promises. It would be wonderful if no enemy could stand before me all the days of my life! Wherever I go, Jehovah my God will grant me victory. My goodness, what more does one need in life than to have God? Wonderful! I will obtain the promise even if it costs me my life; I will obtain this promise of God, that is the spirit.

I tell you, it was because of building the church that I later understood the promise of victory. I read the Bible meticulously. After reading it, I felt, "This is good, I want it! That is good, I want it!" "This is also quite good, that is also quite good, I want them all!" I said, "Hey, what God gave to Abraham is also given to me, isn't it?" This is given to me. The promise of victory is not something after death, but something for us while we are alive, do you all understand?

All the promises do not refer to after a person dies; all the promises are about people experiencing God while they are alive. If you have not experienced God while you are alive, if you live a dry and withered life, right? Without God's promises, how can you have God's promises after death? You must change; your attitude towards learning is wrong. That is, no matter what we do, even if it is just herding sheep, we must learn, isn't that the case?

So, what should everyone emulate? Emulate grasping God's promises even if it means death. Oh, it is deeply engraved in the heart. You know, what hinders us is our self-righteousness within. What hinders our growth, hinders our learning, and hinders us from drawing upon God's promises is self-righteousness, being very stubborn. How many Abrahams are there? What nonsense is this? How many Davids are there? Just one, right? How many Jesuses are there? Just one. "I am not him." Then he has already confirmed that he has no way to draw upon God's promises in this life, very stubborn, and suffers greatly.

Sometimes I cannot help but say, "Silly child, can you be a little smarter?" If others do it well, we will do it that way; if others do it poorly, we will not do it that way. Those who please God all do well; I really have not seen anyone who does poorly. Let us say, Joseph became the prime minister of Egypt, and Nehemiah became the cupbearer of the Persian Empire and later the governor of Judah. Was there anything bad about that? No, there was nothing bad. Daniel was the prime minister of Babylon, a prime minister for three dynasties. How wonderful is that? Oh, I hope that our brothers and sisters can all break free from the bondage of self-righteousness.

Isn't God's promise wonderful? To be above and not below, to be the head and not the tail, I want it! Do you understand? I want it! Some people, as soon as they want to draw upon God's promises, they retreat in the face of difficulty, but it is actually very simple, do you all know? Very simple. Draw upon God's promises and then win the battle, isn't it very simple? Very simple. Not drawing upon God's promises and then losing the battle is very complicated. I tell you, believing in God means walking the path that Abraham believed in, the path of trusting in God, seeking Him.

Then walk David's path. David constantly sought God; he sought God in everything. Victory is the simplest, defeat is the most difficult, isn't it? And the problem is that there are more and more problems. But if God predestines us to victory, then the problems become fewer and fewer. The surrounding countries are all subdued by you, and then they have to pay tribute to you every year. I ask you, is the economic problem easy to solve? It is easy to solve, isn't it?

But if you lose the battle, the economy is not good, and you still have to pay tribute to others, oh my goodness, just like the Qing government had to pay so many millions of taels of silver, what to do? In the end, it collapsed, the Qing government collapsed, right? Oh, living in the Forbidden City, even the grass in the Forbidden City was not picked up; it was all desolate, so miserable. So, knowing there is God but not knowing how to draw upon God's promises and not being able to be victorious is so deadly.

Actually, let me repeat a sentence to you: God predestines you to victory! God sits on the throne and predestines you to victory! He is the one who wins for you ahead of you! Which of our victories is not God winning for us ahead of us? Which casting out of demons is done by our own power? Which one is not done by relying on Jesus Christ, relying on the Holy Spirit? So, it is all predestined by God.

In our earliest days, casting out demons was so difficult. Later, I summarized one point: persevere two minutes, one minute more than the devil. But that summary was in that era. Later, we became smarter and more powerful, so persevering one minute more than the devil is still true, but it is faster because we learn.

Scripture

So David became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Arameans in the Valley of Salt. He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. (2 Samuel 8:13-14)

Prayer

God, may the promise you gave to David also be fulfilled in us. Today, wherever we go, may you also grant us victory. God, lead us to capture territory and seize land in the spiritual world, trampling on the demonic enemies, so that we can emulate David, and wherever we go, you will be with us.

God, may we all be raised up to build your glorious temple, your glorious church, may we all be raised up to emulate David, to become a victorious people, to become victorious elite soldiers. God, may we cultivate the habit of victory, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

Where does the background of this passage begin? It starts from David's birth, and then all the way to his becoming king and subduing the surrounding countries. You know, this David, if you go back and watch the series I preached, there is a series on seeking, talking about David seeking God. Then, as he sought God, he began to know God, and as he knew God, he began to learn to draw upon God's promises.

From a young age, he was a very clever child. When he was herding sheep, he was actually only ten years old or so. I tell you, when my father was nine years old, his mother died. After his mother died, his father did not take care of the family, and at the age of nine, when other children were going to school, my father went to herd cattle. How young is nine years old? At nine years old, he went to herd cattle, what we call a cowherd.

While herding cattle, he would pass by other people's schools, and my father would squat outside the window and eavesdrop. He could hear a little, and he was very envious, especially envious of those who had the opportunity to go to school. Unlike the children of today who go to school, oh, going to school is a chore, oh my goodness. Later, my father told our five children that they must study hard, but some listened and some did not.

This David, actually, he was sixteen or seventeen years old when he was herding sheep. We do not know how long he herded sheep, whether he started herding sheep at the age of nine, we do not know, maybe he started herding sheep when he was very young. I ask you, when others were going to school, David went to herd sheep. Then you say, this is strange, why did David's father, Jesse, let him go to herd sheep? Couldn't he find a servant in the family to herd sheep? As a result, he treated David as a servant.

Even though David was a servant, do you think that could stop David from learning? It could not stop him. When David was herding sheep, I tell you, our brothers and sisters must be careful, the knowledge of herding sheep is very great. Actually, David's father did not think that this child would be successful, and then he let him go to herd sheep, but that was the best training for David. Joseph went to Egypt as a slave, that was the best social university, the best training. What do you do when people glare at you? What do you do when people kick you? What do you do when they slap you? David had an attitude of learning when he was herding sheep in the wilderness.

Actually, learning in the classroom is wrong, everyone must know. Can learning in the classroom produce a David? It cannot. When David was herding sheep in the wilderness, what problems do you have to solve? He must have herded sheep for many years, many years ago he was just a small child, and he was not very tall to begin with, and he was only about 1.7 meters tall even when he was older.

When he was young, this child had tricks, he learned tricks every day, he had many tricks to herd sheep. This is a person who seeks; he will not be negative, do you understand? He will not be negative when herding sheep, kicking the sheep. They go to do things, and I am here herding sheep, what kind of world is this? That is not it. If I do not herd sheep, who will herd them? Isn't that right?

I tell you, he herded sheep well. Remember, if you cannot herd sheep well, what victory will you obtain? If you do housekeeping and do not clean the house properly, what victory will you obtain? Do you understand? I tell you, I have a theory, I can create value even if I am cleaning toilets. Many people think that cleaning toilets is a manual job, but it is not. Any job can have technical content in it.

As a result, David had to solve problems, herding sheep, right? Herding sheep, what do you do when a wolf comes? You are just a child, what do you do when a wolf comes? It is very difficult. So, David must have done a lot of these things, right? He sharpened wooden sticks, and he could fight when a wolf came. So, he developed a lot of skills. I ask you, was God with David at that time? Absolutely.

Once this child's attitude is right, he attracts the Spirit of God; if his attitude is wrong, he attracts the spirit of demons. Some people have God with them, and some people have demons with them. Think about such a child, when a wolf comes, can he kill the wolf? What about when a lion comes? Can he kill the lion? I tell you, it was all God who killed the wolf, God who killed the lion. Later, when he went to Goliath, what did David say? David said, Jehovah my God fights for me.

This child can pray, very powerful. The child takes good care of the sheep and can overcome lions. I ask you, is that not the practice of faith? Brothers and sisters, you will find that no matter what kind of situation you go through, the valley of the shadow of death, Jehovah God is with you, and you will not be harmed. No matter what you experience, you will not be harmed because you are God's people, do you understand? So, it does not matter if you experience something, and then going to the battlefield to kill Goliath is all practiced from herding sheep since childhood.

Isn't there a story? A person went up the mountain to learn from a master, and the master did not teach him martial arts, but let him chop firewood on the mountain for several years. When the Monkey King went to the Patriarch Subhuti, the Patriarch Subhuti did not teach him kung fu for many years either. Then one day, he saw that this Sun Wukong was quite capable and quite persistent, so he called him into the house, what do you want to learn? So, I tell you, stories are all like this. Why? To see your attitude. If you are negative all the time, you are a waste, a liability.

If you are negative all the time, that is troublesome! Killing Goliath on the battlefield is all practiced in peacetime. The tools, David's slingshot, David's sling, were invented at that time. How were they invented? God revealed them. Later, what lessons did he learn when he became a commander of a thousand? Oh, I tell you, you can never finish learning in this life. He had never been a commander of a thousand before, how could he do it? Now that he is a commander of a thousand, he has to manage a thousand soldiers. When he goes to the battlefield to fight, he has to arrange troops, everything is learning.

Later, being chased and killed, being chased and killed by Saul, was all a practice of faith. Over the thirteen years, the thirteen years of fleeing were all walked by relying on God. When it looked like it was not going to work, he passed by relying on God. When it looked like it was not going to work, he passed by relying on God. Brothers and sisters, your situation is much better than David's. When it looks like it is going to work, you also pass by, when it looks like it is going to work, you also pass by. Some people, when it looks like it is going to work, they cannot pass by. You say, isn't this looking for trouble?

So, brothers and sisters, you must know, learn from David! I am so anxious, learn from David! Learn what? David later became king. Do you think he was very powerful after becoming king? There were still so many kings around. Which country does not have a king? Do you think you are powerful just because you are the king of Israel? Then the king of Israel has to fight with the king of Moab, right, with the king of Ammon, with the king of the Philistines. Later, David led his troops and defeated them all.

Then you know that David stationed his troops in Edom, stationed in Philistia, stationed in various places. Why? To watch them, right? Oh, thank God, victorious in life, victorious in life by relying on God. I tell you, without God, how could David be victorious? He could not be victorious. Later, when he arrived in Jerusalem, you must know that the city of Jerusalem was conquered by David.

David took down this city of Jerusalem, very powerful. Do you know that the city of Jerusalem is Mount Moriah? Mount Moriah is today's Temple Mount. Do you have an impression of Mount Moriah? Mount Moriah is the place where Abraham offered Isaac. Do you understand this time? It is the current Temple Mount, that is the matter.

Later, David brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem. After bringing it into Jerusalem, he wanted to build a temple in this place where Isaac was offered. I tell you, is God pleased or not? God is pleased. So, he began to build God's temple, and then God revealed to him through Nathan, giving him many promises, that his descendants would sit on the throne, subduing the nations, wonderful.

Later, he subdued the nations. Was God's temple built? Not built. You say, what is the logic of this logic? God's temple has not been built yet, God only saw that David had such an idea, as long as you have such an idea in your heart, God will cause David to be victorious wherever he goes. Was it built? Not built yet. So, our brothers and sisters, you must have that heart, you must have that heart! Lacking that heart, doing it is in vain. This is the background of this passage. Talking about the eighth chapter of 2 Samuel, this sentence, David was victorious wherever he went, the Lord gave David victory wherever he went. David was victorious wherever he went, the Lord gave David victory wherever he went, said twice. The first time in verse 6, the second time in verse 14. What a wonderful promise! When I saw this sentence, I said, God, this is also mine, I want it too, I want it too!

Do you desire to obtain? Desire to obtain, for God longs for more people like you, yearning for such things. As long as one's heart yearns, God will surely give you this promise! As long as you yearn, God will give you this promise. As long as you have this heart, God will begin to work in you.

In fact, brothers and sisters, you must know that the church we established many years ago, this victorious church, did not just appear now. It existed from the very beginning, many years ago. The logic of victory, glory, and warfare did not just appear now; it was there from the beginning. Initially, it did not look like much. Brothers and sisters, you must know that that era was extremely desolate. When people heard the vision and mission we proclaimed, they even found it amusing.

But as we walked along, our brothers and sisters developed a characteristic: they were particularly proud. "Which church do you belong to?" "I belong to a victorious church!" Do you understand? Then, when we brothers and sisters looked at those other churches, they were in a chaotic state. There were many people, and they sang with great enthusiasm, but when you interacted with them privately, alas, everything was there.

The cathedrals are also magnificent, aren't they? When we travel to Europe, to St. Paul's Cathedral, look at the people inside. How many like David are there? Saying too much might make some people think I'm looking down on them, but that's not the case. It's to say that people must have this logic, to emulate David. Superficial efforts are useless. Alright? Now, lift up your faith! Begin to become someone who draws upon God's promises.

God Promises Us Victory

Do you know where this promise comes from? From Abraham offering Isaac, saying that your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. Did they possess it? They did. Who caused them to possess it? God caused them to possess it! God had long revealed such things to us. We do as Abraham did. We do as Isaac and Jacob did. That's the way it is.

God promises us victory. Do not think that God is stingy. God looks down from His throne, "Alas, to whom shall I give this victory? I give and give, but I cannot give it away!" To whom shall I give this victory? I tell you, building a church, you cannot do this work without a broad mind. With a mind like a peanut and a brain like a walnut, how can you draw upon God's promises?

It is so difficult for God to give away this promise of victory! I am even anxious for God, aren't I? I want it! We brothers and sisters must know that there are so many people on this earth, billions of people. How many say, "God, I want victory! I want your promise!" How many? You all want it. You must not suffer losses; you must not shortchange yourselves any longer. God promises us victory. Then you say, "It's so pitiful, scraping and scraping, and only Abraham is found." It's that pitiful. But God longs for that generation to have a dozen, a hundred, thousands of Abrahams, but they cannot be found. Brains like walnuts, minds like peanuts, living all day in their selfish little affairs, how can they possibly desire to be a blessing to all the families of the earth? Do you understand? How many people want it? Even if you want it, you may not understand it.

Abraham wanted this, so you must understand the thinking behind Abraham. I have understood the thinking behind Abraham, but some people still suspect that I am preaching heresy. He really thought that way; he could not have done these things if he did not think that way. So God longs for us to be Abraham, longs for us to be Isaac and Jacob, longs for us to be Joseph and David, longs for it.

This is also reasonable. Everyone must know that this is also reasonable. You mine a gold mine, what is mined out of that gold mine? Do you think it is 99.99% gold? That is a gold treasury, isn't it? That is not a gold mine; that is a gold treasury. The gold in the gold treasury is refined, isn't it? God only wants that gold, right? God only wants the gold in the gold treasury, and isn't that gold in the gold treasury mined from the sand? So even though there is a lot of sand, it doesn't matter, but I want to be gold. Alright? Everyone must want to be gold.

When people live in this world, they must be treasures in God's eyes. When God sees you, "Alas, He has found you." When He sees, "Alas, He has found such a pile in this Mingding Doctrine, this gold mine is good, a pile, all treasures." Pa pa pa, all the promises are bestowed, aren't they? Some are even smashed on your heads, and you still don't want the promises smashed on your heads?

Just like David, never negative, never negative. What's the use of being negative? After talking about this and that, in the end, the sheep are not herded, and you go to university, but you still come out as a useless person. Isn't that the case? David herded sheep, how good is that. Now everyone must know that the traditional education system, the industrialized education system, is collapsing. That thing is not good; it is not suitable.

So do you know that many of these large companies, like Alibaba and Tencent, no longer want to recruit university graduates. They go directly to middle schools to find them. Why? The training in universities is not good. They directly find high school students, even junior high school students. So you see, I tell you, now companies are learning from David, looking for talents like David, cultivating them from a young age. Cultivating a victorious character from a young age, developing a victorious habit from a young age, alright? God's promises are all true, but He just can't find a treasure to give the promise to. Just tell God, "I am here, I am."

Drawing Upon God's Promise of Victory

Drawing upon God's promise of victory must begin with Abraham's faith. Then you ask me, where did David learn this promise of victory? From Abraham. How could David not know Abraham? I ask you, did David know? He knew. The Israelites learned the Book of Genesis from a young age. To draw upon God's promise of victory, you must learn.

When David was a little kid, a little runt herding cattle, right? He wasn't even as tall as a cow's leg, herding cattle. But he knew that he could draw upon God's promises. Did he really know? He didn't know, but he believed. Do you understand? Without God's promise, he could not do it. David thought, "My dad asked me to herd sheep. I really don't like sitting in the classroom. It's so good to herd sheep here, so free. I can learn on my own while herding sheep." As a result, he learned a series of things while herding sheep.

Then what did he really think? Actually, God sent my dad to send me to herd sheep! It was to allow me to come to herd sheep so that I could draw upon God's promises. Joseph also had this logic: God sent me to Egypt. Which person who draws upon God's promises feels that his life is not in God's control? If God sent him to herd sheep, and you are negative, wouldn't you be stupid? Being negative is stupid.

Remember, nothing is not in God's hands. If you encounter a negative thing, train well, don't be negative, there is no need to be negative. Because God is in control, God is testing you to see if you are the one who draws upon God's promises. When He sees you, "Alas, no matter how He looks at you, you are good. This child doesn't know how to be negative at such a young age, does he? He only knows how to draw upon God's promises at such a young age." How does he draw upon promises? He prays.

"God, what should I do if a lion comes? What should I do if a bear comes? What if the sheep are taken away? How can I herd these sheep well? Where should I take these sheep to find pasture?" I tell you, there are many problems. Each problem solved is a growth. Each problem solved is drawing upon God's promises.

Each problem solved is a victory, how good is that. I tell you, David shed many tears, why? It was hard. The road to drawing upon God's promises is very hard. Why? You encounter difficulties, and you don't know where the answer is. You encounter problems, and you don't know what to do, so you just endure it until God's revelation comes, "Do it this way," isn't it?

Not Looking at the Environment, But Solely Looking to God's Promises

If you were like David from a young age, a teenager, a little runt, and then experienced these things, "Wow, God's promises are so good." Later, he killed Goliath, and later, he became a commander of thousands, "Wow, God is so good." Later, he was chased by Saul, what should he do? It was much worse than herding sheep before! Being chased, can everyone imagine that? David said this: "My tears soak my bed, and float my couch." What I said was a mineral water bottle. That mineral water bottle is far worse than David's tears.

So all the bad things we experience must be turned into good things. All the bad things are things to draw upon God's promises of victory. Aren't you encountering things now? Aren't you encountering very difficult situations now? Does it seem unsolvable? Does it seem helpless? Good, this is an opportunity to draw upon God's promises. David did not look at the environment, it was very difficult, but he believed in God's promises. My life is in God's hands.

Does he struggle inside? If you read the Psalms written by David, the beginning is all "God, God, have mercy on me, what sins did I commit in my previous life?" The end says, "Thank God, praise God," isn't it? It all starts with a lot of hardship, but the later declarations push David's faith up again. When he looks at the environment, his faith "pa" falls to the ground. When he trusts in God, that faith "pa" pushes up again.

If there is no faith, it is very uncomfortable inside. When faith comes, it is not so uncomfortable, isn't that the case? That is why I am so uncomfortable? I want to praise my God, God's promises are faithful, how good. This is why David still looked to God's promises when he was being chased, without being negative. When negativity comes, it is very uncomfortable, but declaring God's promises, believing that God will one day give him victory, makes him feel better.

I have experienced his experiences. I don't know when such feelings will come to an end. But with faith, I have to persevere day after day. When I am uncomfortable, I shed some tears, clean up, wipe away my tears, and continue to study the Bible, and continue to declare God's promises. Later, he became king, and his throne was given to him by God.

Constantly Practicing and Constantly Experiencing God's Promises

When you encounter difficulties, practice. I can tell you, there is absolutely no dropping the ball. God's promises will never fail. In my faith, there is no concept of failure. In the process of my practice, especially in the matter of casting out demons, nothing doesn't work. Everything works, it's just a matter of practicing faith. Now, looking around, I see the opportunities that God has given us in this generation, I see God's will in this generation, I see God using us again to capture cities and seize land, I see us constantly bringing God's people into God's promises.

The difficulties are greater than we imagine, but no matter how great, they are not greater than my God. Wherever we go, the Lord God is our God. This is not just for David, but for all who emulate David, that is, for us. As for whether it is given to others, I don't care, but it is definitely given to me, and it is definitely given to our brothers and sisters. Clean up, it is not what you have done, it is your faith that has saved you.

Looking at the environment, it is very desolate, but looking at God's promises, wow, it is full of hope. I long for brothers and sisters to live a magnificent life while they are alive, to constantly experience God's promises while they are alive, it is infinitely good, too wonderful. If you have descendants, you can tell them your stories, you can tell them how you offered Isaac, you can tell them how you possessed the gate of your enemies. You can tell them how you returned with two companies, leaning on a staff.

You can tell them how you came out of Egypt, you can tell them how you were fed by God in the wilderness. You can tell them how you crossed the Jordan River, how you possessed the gate of your enemies, and saw the walls of Jericho fall with your own eyes. You can tell them how the surrounding areas, Aram surrendered, Edom surrendered, the Ammonites surrendered, the Moabites surrendered, and subdued the nations. You can tell them how the devil and the enemy were trampled underfoot, and you can tell them how we established God's glorious church. You can tell many stories, tears will not be shed in vain, hard work will not be paid in vain, and God's glory will be manifested in this era. Amen!

Developing a Habit of Victory

How to develop it? Develop it from a young age, develop it in small things. Those who do sales, practice God's promises in sales, practice your faith. Those who do healing and deliverance, experience God's promises in casting out demons, draw upon God's promises, and possess the gate of your enemies. Those who do engineering, those who do scientific research, experience God's promises in all walks of life, because you are alive, you are a victorious person. If your work is not easy, don't be afraid. If the sheep are not easy to herd, don't be afraid. The Lord your God will give you victory.

Some brothers and sisters, the boss gives them a very challenging job, it doesn't matter, that is training you. If you are a victorious person, any challenging job is given to you by God, don't be afraid. Behold, your God is fighting for you in front of you, you will surely be victorious. Wherever you go, the Lord your God will give you victory. Alright, brothers and sisters, start developing a habit of victory? It may be as small as passing a driver's license, finding a job, solving a problem, or as big as building a glorious church, healing the sick, casting out demons, releasing the captives, and releasing the oppressed.

Start experiencing God from herding sheep from a young age, and start developing an attitude of dealing with self-righteousness. Start developing an attitude of dealing with negativity from a young age. Remember, what you do may not be so spiritual, but as long as it is a matter of life, God cares. God cares about your victory, God is waiting for you to draw upon His promises. God longs for you to be a David, God will send you to manage a city, manage ten cities, and become a faithful and good servant.

Amen. May God bless everyone!
