【Bible Study】2 Peter 3 - What is the Lord's Promise?

2026-04-01 2

Good day to all. Today, we continue with the third chapter of 2 Peter, which is also the final chapter. The theme of this chapter is, "What is the Lord's promise?"

How Does Peter Argue for the Lord's Promise?

Beloved, this is now the second letter that I am writing to you. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these things the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:1-8)

This argument is quite interesting. When someone questions the promise of the Lord's coming, the author reminds us that all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation, but they deliberately forget the record of God's creation of heaven and earth. This statement is rather peculiar. Can we argue in that way? If I were to tell you about the promise of the Lord's coming, you might question, "Do you truly know?" I confess that I cannot explain it clearly. This creates a series of confusions.

I prefer things that can be clearly explained. For example, when someone dies, do they go to heaven or not? Let's not speculate. For instance, when someone's parents pass away, they ask me, "Did they go to heaven or hell?" Even if I were to tell you they went to heaven, it might be comforting, but it would be mere speculation. I haven't been there, so how would I know? It would be different if I had taken a stroll, paid a visit, and seen them there.

Peter is arguing for the promise of the Lord Jesus, saying: First, through the prophecies of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior. Then he continues: They deliberately forget that the heavens existed long ago by the word of God, and the earth was formed out of water and through water. Therefore, the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water. It is reserved for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly, to be burned with fire. I am most afraid of discussing this because someone might ask, "How do you know?" I truly do not know. I want to tell you what I prefer: things that can be clearly explained. For example, having been to heaven or hell – we haven't been there, so let's not speculate. I can only say that the Bible says so, and that's it.

The question is, what exactly is the Lord's promise? Where did this promise originate? The Lord's promise originated with Abraham. Did the promise God gave to Abraham mention destruction by fire, the preservation of heaven and earth, and judgment reserved for the ungodly? No, it did not.

If you open the Bible with me now, it says this: Abraham, I will make your name great, and I will make your descendants a great nation. Do you understand? This is absolutely understandable. I will make your name great – wow, you will become a famous brand in the future. How big will this brand be? Bigger than Hermès, more famous than Chanel, right? This is clearly stated.

The Lord's promise comes from Abraham, and that thing is called the covenant of promise. Because Abraham believed in God, the promise God gave him was not this event, not the promise of the Lord's coming. So Peter feels that speaking about the Lord's coming is very grand. What do I like to talk about? I like to ask whether you can be like Abraham when you are alive. Can you live like Isaac, Jacob, like Joseph, like David? Isn't that so?

Do you feel that this way of speaking is more practical than what Peter said? Peter's thing is about the end of the world coming, and God's fire coming down from heaven to destroy everything. I don't like to build my faith on this, not even when talking to myself. Do I believe this will happen? I believe it. But if you want me to explain it to you and convince you, I think I'd better not. How can this be explained? It can't be explained. But if I were to tell you that I will make you a great nation, I will surely bless you, make your name great, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. How wonderful is that!

Starting from this, I tell you that Peter's understanding of Genesis in the Old Testament is too weak. What are we doing when we believe in Jesus today? Because through faith in Jesus Christ, we become descendants of Abraham, and through faith in Jesus Christ, we inherit the promise God gave to Abraham, that all peoples on earth will be blessed through us. This sounds very comfortable, not mysterious. So later, the gospel gradually evolved, and this salvation gradually deviated from its original flavor. The original flavor is that people become descendants of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ, and it starts from there.

So the covenant God gave to Abraham is called the covenant of promise, and the law given to Moses later is called the Sinai covenant. Mount Sinai is a law, but the law did not exist when the promise was given to Abraham. This is the argument of the Apostle Paul. So the problem is here. I can tell you that if a person believes in Jesus but does not read Genesis, that is a tragedy.

Is this how it is argued? Where is the promise of the Lord's coming? Why ask this? Can you talk about whether the promise the Lord made to Abraham has descended upon you? Let me explain to you. The entire Bible mentions something called the presence of God. For example, when Joseph was sold into Egypt, God was with Joseph, and he prospered in everything. Do you understand? So today, we need to know that God is with us, this is God's promise. Enoch was taken away because he walked with God, he did not die, he was taken away alive.

We brothers and sisters need to be especially careful. Speak well about what you know, and don't speculate about what you don't know. Can this be argued? I tell you, many things Peter says are unreliable. Our God is a reliable God, and what our God says are all concrete things. Does it say how Jesus Christ will come again in the future? Yes, it does. But that matter is not for us to argue about this matter.

What we need to argue is how God is with us; so that when we live in this world, we can live out the image of Jesus Christ, this is arguing for the promise. Peter's argument is biased, he thinks it is the promise of the Lord's coming. Has the Lord come to this day? Not yet. So if you ask me where the day of the Lord's coming is, I don't know either. Next year? Don't know. The year after? Don't know. 2030? Don't know.

So what is Peter arguing about this thing for? So if a person believes in something that you can't see or touch, I think it's better to forget it. But Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Daniel, Nehemiah are all visible and tangible. Someone said: Teacher, you said that thing looks very grand and great.

Nehemiah, can ordinary people do that? King David, can ordinary people do that? I said: Why can't they? You walk in God's will, and your faith inherits the blessing of Abraham. So what we want to inherit today is the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and then inherit the blessing God gave to Abraham, this is so good in the future.

Let me give you an example. There are still many brothers and sisters among us who are relatively poor and live in a state of barely making ends meet. But do you know that Jacob went to his uncle Laban's house with a staff, and when he came back, he was simply a very wealthy man. What do you think? If Jacob went with a staff and came back with a staff, what do you think? I don't think it's good, I might as well beg for food, that's so spiritual.

We need to know how good God's presence is! I can't see a poor person in the Old Testament who has God's presence. Someone said: Why do you like wealth so much? It's not that I like wealth, it's that I really don't like poverty. When I see brothers and sisters living in poverty, I wish God's promise would be fulfilled in you. Then you have to inherit the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the promise God gave to Abraham.

Has the Lord's Promise Not Been Fulfilled?

The things Peter argued earlier were quite fatal, in fact, that road began to deviate. Peter said: The Lord's promise has not yet been fulfilled. Oh my goodness, this is even more fatal. The Lord's promise began to be fulfilled in the days of Abraham, do you know that? It began to be fulfilled in Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. You can't say that the Lord's promise has not yet been fulfilled, because he thinks the Lord's promise is the Lord's return. I still want to advise everyone to be especially careful about the matter of the Lord's return.

This Lord's promise is fulfilled among us every day. We are healed by Jesus' stripes, has it been fulfilled? It is fulfilled every day! We become rich through the poverty of Jesus Christ, is it fulfilled every day? We have peace through the punishment of Jesus, has it been fulfilled? It has been fulfilled! What does it mean that the Lord's promise has not yet been fulfilled? This sentence is a very serious problem! It makes a person believe in Jesus as if they are believing in Buddhism.

I used to know some monks in Buddhist temples. Before I believed in the Lord, I asked them, I said: You guys practice this thing, you have to cultivate to become enlightened. Let me ask you a question, have you cultivated to become enlightened? I also asked: Have any of the people in your temple or other people cultivated to become enlightened? He said: I haven't heard of it either. Then I said: Have you heard of anyone who has cultivated to become enlightened? He looked at me, thinking I was picking on him, but I wasn't. I said: This thing is a bit mysterious. So later I wanted to find a God who could allow me to experience Him while I was alive.

If you are poor and penniless when you are alive, I ask you, are you upset or not? Do you like it? I don't like it. I went everywhere to find it, and I finally found Jesus Christ. Thank God! My God's words are so good, we are healed by Jesus' stripes, we become rich through Jesus' poverty, we have peace through Jesus' punishment, and we are redeemed by Jesus' blood!

Don't believe in something that you haven't experienced when you die, what are you believing in? Anyway, if you want to tell me that you will be able to cultivate to become enlightened in the future, then it depends on your creation. I don't like this very much. If you can't experience it when you are alive, can you experience it when you die? If you can't experience God's grace when you are alive, can you experience God's grace when you die?

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Oh my goodness! So this sentence is very problematic. In this situation, what situation has Peter fallen into? I guess Peter has begun to lose the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. What did the Apostle Paul say? The power of our Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead protects me, the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead is on me every day. How wonderful is that!

So how good it is that the Lord's promise is fulfilled every day! It's not about going to heaven after death, nor is it the promise of the Lord's coming, it's the promise of Abraham! When we are on earth, God will make our name great, God will make us a great nation, those who bless us, God will bless them, those who curse us, God will curse them, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through us. God said: I will surely bless you, and you will possess the gate of your enemies!

We want to possess the gate of our enemies through Jesus Christ, so how did Peter understand it like this? He even said it was delayed. I guess Peter saw that many Christians were very hard. What kind of Christians are those? They should be holding on to the same theological system as Peter and James. That same theological system is to build the church in Jerusalem into a very poor church. So if we read James carefully again, it's not the James of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the James who wrote James. What he believed in should be a Buddhist thing, a senior monk, sitting in meditation, practicing Zen, kneeling there to pray, and his knees are calloused. He mixed in that thing.

So I have to tell everyone that many people accept the things in James, James has a hatred of wealth, that thing is called a poverty mentality. Once a person has a poverty mentality, it is difficult for him to obtain God's grace and blessing. So when Peter arrived in this era and wrote 2 Peter, his entire theological system became like this. Then their promise is no longer their daily experience of God's presence, but going to heaven after death, and then the Lord Jesus Christ will come again. Everyone should think carefully, this thing is very interesting. So the Lord's promise has not yet been fulfilled, this sentence is very problematic. You see, he argues that the Lord sees one day as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day, it's very difficult to talk about this thing.

The reason why brothers and sisters are attracted by God's grace is because you are healed when you come among us. Your financial situation has indeed turned around. When you come among us, you begin to experience God's presence and God's grace. Isn't this what the Bible says? You become poorer when you come among us, you become more tired when you come among us, and the burden becomes heavier. In addition to a briefcase, you also have to carry a cross. How do you walk? I can't walk this road. We brothers and sisters need to know that the Lord's promise is fulfilled every day. Abraham had God's grace and promise on him throughout his life, and Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph lived in God's promise every day.

Will the Day of the Lord Come Like a Thief?

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. (2 Peter 3:10)

When you come before God, read the Bible carefully. When the Lord Jesus comes, it is like a thief to them, but it is not like a thief to us. But when it comes to Peter, this argument is good, everyone is like a thief. How do you explain this sentence? In fact, in 1 Thessalonians, how did Paul say it?

For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-5)

Understood or not? It is like a thief to them, but you are not in darkness, so that day will not overtake you like a thief. Am I wrong? Paul's theology is that the Lord's coming is not like a thief to us, but like a thief to them. For example, when the Lord came to Sodom and Gomorrah, it was like a thief, and suddenly no one escaped. But God had mercy on Lot for Abraham's sake. Was that like a thief? No, it was not. So today, this logic is immediately skewed.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. (2 Peter 3:10-12)

After reading this, do you feel anything? Does it feel like something? Sometimes, people become like dead pigs unafraid of boiling water. They are brought to complete despair, with no hope in this world. Since everything is going to be destroyed anyway, just let it be.

This whole thing is a little dangerous. Some people live in a state of resignation, thinking that everything will be destroyed anyway. I guess Peter wrote this because a person has not overcome, often fails, lives a hard life, and really hopes that God will come and destroy everything at once. If you look closely, many people have completely given up. People who have been ravaged by this world often think this way, that everything in this world will pass away anyway. Can we think like this?

I tell you, no matter what, you must remember my words. You must learn from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You will find that Abraham never said such things. Although Abraham knew that life is vanity of vanities, you will see that Abraham lived very realistically and practically, and as a result, he lived like a prince of high standing. This Peter can also be understood. He built a church that failed, then built another church that failed again. Then Peter went everywhere, occasionally preaching in the churches built by Paul, and people gave him some love offerings. That's probably how it was.

Was there a bit of a twist in his heart? Paul built churches so well, but look at what we built, one failure after another. The church in Jerusalem cannot even go back, it has failed, and they are as poor as church mice. Then Jacob goes to the temple every day to kneel and pray, not caring about anything else. Do you see, is that how it is? In fact, what does it become? Anyway, all this is going to end, anyway, it is all like this, it doesn't matter. Is there this flavor?

What I said may not be right, and you may not agree. But Peter really would, if I were walking the path that Peter walked, I would easily form this mindset. For example, why should we be like Abraham? How many Abrahams are there? Why should we be like Jesus Christ? How many Jesus Christs are there? It's all this kind of thing, anyway, all things will be dissolved. This is terrible. The day of the Lord does not come like a thief, because we are all alert.

Is it Hoping for a New Heaven and a New Earth?

But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. (2 Peter 3:13-14)

Let me slowly explain what Peter wrote. If I tell you, "Oh, it's terrible, terribly bad, hope for a new heaven and a new earth." I feel like I want to laugh after saying this. How many of us? How many people, if you are sick, you come to me and say, "Pastor, can you pray for me?" I say, "Hope for a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. Dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him."

I think it's okay to say this to someone who is about to die, but people are in pain when they are sick. They say, "Teacher, I'm in pain, I'm in a lot of pain." I say, "It's okay, be at peace with the Lord." What do you think? I don't think it's good. Unless this person is really at that stage, then I will say a few words about being at peace with the Lord. What kind of person comforts people like this? It's hard to comfort anyone with this kind of comfort.

For example, someone says, "Teacher, look, I'm only in my thirties, and now I'm unemployed." I say, "It's okay, be at peace with the Lord." They will say, "You be at peace with the Lord." Someone in their forties is unemployed, and I say, "Be at peace with the Lord." They will definitely say, "You be at peace with the Lord." I ask everyone, can you be unemployed if God is really with you? Can you be as poor as a church mouse if God is really with you? If you really have the likeness of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, blessing you, God will bless him; cursing you, God will curse him, can you be that bad? God will make your name great, God will make you a great nation.

If I build a church, and it fails one after another, and I'm still talking about it today, what do I say? Anyway, I'm going to be at peace with the Lord, right? So this saying, hoping for a new heaven and a new earth, is a bit distant. I tell you, when I first knew God, I really needed a job. Did I see through the matter of living? It seems that I saw through it relatively well. Among people of my age, I saw through it relatively well.

But without a job, without income, and then, oh my God, when I was about to have no food to eat, you told me to hope for a new heaven and a new earth, I really wanted to punch you. Do you understand? You talk to me about a new heaven and a new earth; you talk to me about attaining enlightenment, oh my God, let's forget it.

No, our God is a God who eats the food of the world. There is nothing like this in Genesis. This is a purely spiritual sustenance, and it cannot even sustain it. Hope for a new heaven and a new earth. When your spiritual height really begins to rise, do you want to hope for a new earth? Yes! Do you want to carry eternity? Yes! Do you want to live in this world with an eternal, eternal mindset? Yes!

But if you are really like this, really have the faith of Abraham, seeing through life and death like this, how can you not have Mingding Doctrine? You will definitely choose to live for God, and if you live for God, how can you live as poor as a church mouse?

What is Longsuffering?

Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. (2 Peter 3:15)

Longsuffering is the reason for salvation. There is not much wrong with this statement. But in the past few years, the situation I have seen does not quite match up. Why? I saw some brothers and sisters who got cancer and were longsuffering there. Is that longsuffering for these things? I guess Peter must have encountered some brothers and sisters with serious illnesses, and then told them to be longsuffering.

Brothers and sisters can know for sure that long and lasting illnesses, heavy and great disasters, where do they appear? In Deuteronomy 28, that is the epitome of a curse. If this person is cursed, and then you ask him to be longsuffering, can he be saved? God, let me walk in the wilderness for another forty years, it doesn't matter, let's just wander in this wilderness for the rest of our lives. What do you think? Is that longsuffering? That longsuffering has no meaning.

So what Peter said is very interesting. In fact, why is there longsuffering? The reason is very simple, that is, in our faith, what should we be longsuffering in? We really need to persevere and be longsuffering in the discomfort caused by dealing with the evil deeds of the flesh, because dealing with the flesh is very uncomfortable. It is easy to follow the flesh, but following the flesh will be cursed, will reap corruption. After reaping corruption, longsuffering is meaningless and has no glory! Everyone, don't be longsuffering there because you are cursed. I think you should not be longsuffering, repent quickly! Do you understand? This statement has actually misled many people.

Some people said to me, "Teacher, I am actually a Job." I said, "You are Job?" I said Job repented, why don't you repent? Didn't you understand it? Why? They thought Job was really a righteous man. No, Job offered sacrifices with fear, what he asked for was his sons, do you understand? Asking that his sons can be safe, what is the use of asking for that? So later, God said sentence after sentence, without answering Job's questions, and directly knocked Job down.

But the people I have seen, God can't knock them down either, because they don't study the Bible well. They think Job is very great, all messed up. In the previous chapter, good heavens, Peter thought Lot was a righteous man. The things he messed up are not just a little bit. In fact, I tell you, at this time, he also tells people not to be tempted by wrong things, to strengthen their own position, and not to fall. In fact, the one to be careful about is this Peter. If you are not careful about Peter, isn't that very dangerous?

Can you really understand it? You see, those words that are spread out sound very nice to read and hear, but this chapter is destroyed by my analysis. So brothers and sisters, you know, it's not that I deliberately want to pick on Peter. What he said really doesn't make sense. Even today, there are still many people who regard 1 Peter and 2 Peter as part of the Bible. Can they? Isn't it? Paul said that the Bible is all inspired by God, without referring to 1 Peter and 2 Peter, nor referring to James, it didn't exist at that time.

This longsuffering is to know to be longsuffering for the kingdom of God, to give up everything for the kingdom of God, do you understand? Suffering for the kingdom of God is glorious, suffering for one's own suffering, suffering for one's own curse is not glorious, and longsuffering is meaningless.

Are Paul's Letters Difficult to Understand?

Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:15-16)

I think Paul's letters are difficult to understand? It is Peter himself who does not understand, why? Peter's mind is filled with a lot of this garbage, can he understand Paul's letters? He can't read them, they are not in harmony with him, because Paul speaks of faith, and only faith is the foundation. After Peter read it, he was a little dazed, can he understand it? Can he understand Galatians? Peter was pretending there, he felt very uncomfortable after reading it. Some people use this Galatians to say: Peter, look, Paul said you were pretending, did you pretend? Peter said: Don't distort it, grasp the key point, the key point is not that I pretended. The problem is that Peter is not very clear about the key point.
If you read Peter's things carefully, Peter's things have a characteristic, half of Peter's things come from James, and the other half is really a bit of Paul's things. Did Paul know? He knew, Paul's letters are very specific, he quoted what Abraham said, they are all promised covenants, right? The law promulgated on Mount Sinai cannot replace the promise that God gave to Abraham four hundred and thirty years ago. After I finish telling you, you go back and pick on it, you also go back and pick on it, see if you pick on it about the same as me.

What to Guard Against?

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. (2 Peter 3:17)

What to guard against? I am afraid of being tempted by the mistakes of the wicked, and falling from my firm position. What to guard against? Let people guard against it, I think it is better to guard against Peter. Peter said these things, which were a bit of a dying situation, and what he said was unclear. Oh, I said these may provoke fierce criticism from very traditional Christians. But it doesn't matter, what I said may be wrong, but you read carefully, what do we guard against? I give you a suggestion, everyone, don't guard against this and guard against that, clarify what the gospel is, and what is right.

I have such an experience, some people, for example, do math problems, this one is wrong, where is it wrong? That question is also wrong, where is it wrong? Many people say, this is wrong, this is wrong, doing this is wrong, doing this is not right. They know all the wrong things, but the problem is that he has no answer, can he know? They are all wrong. All the wrong things have been studied, but the right ones have not been studied. What is the meaning of this? Because there are thousands of wrong things, and there is only one right thing. Research shows that one plus one equals three is wrong, equals four is wrong, equals five is also wrong, equals six is also wrong. You can't finish studying it in your whole life, one plus one equals two is the end, if it is not two, then forget about it, what does it matter if it is three, four, five, six, what is the meaning of you getting to ten thousand?

So you will find that our church does not talk much about what is heresy and what is heresy. We only talk about what is the gospel, this is the gospel of Jesus Christ, that's it, simple, right? Simple. If you don't know what is right, and you are always guarding against this and guarding against that, you will guard against yourself after guarding for a long time, and you will fall yourself. I think this thing is called ignorance. So brothers and sisters, we don't study that, we only study what the right thing is like. Guard against, what to guard against?

One day, a pastor said to me: Oh, Eastern Lightning has come to Singapore, we have to be careful. Do you know why you have to be careful about Eastern Lightning? Because the brothers and sisters in their church don't read the Bible well, and the pastor is not very clear either. Eastern Lightning reads the Bible better than them, and they put in more effort, so it is very hard, and they can't guard against it after guarding for a long time, and they took away many people.

I said: I don't need to be careful, what do I need to be careful about that thing? If people from Eastern Lightning come in, I will also give you this grace, I will tell you whether the Bible I am talking about is right or not? If what I said is wrong, then we can discuss it together. He still feels that the thing about Eastern Lightning is not very right. In fact, Eastern Lightning should be careful about me, I read the Bible more clearly than them, Peter has not escaped my eyes, Jacob has not escaped my eyes, can you Eastern Lightning escape?

So brothers and sisters, if you get the right thing right, you are an accountant, you don't know what the right thing is, you are always doing the wrong thing, this is wrong and that is wrong, then you are not right, what are you doing? Our brothers and sisters rarely hear me talk about this, what I am talking about is very real. Today we will finish talking about the third chapter of 2 Peter. I think we will not summarize these three chapters of 2 Peter, because these three chapters are directly finished, that's it. The logic of catching heresy comes from Peter, always guarding against this and guarding against that, but not guarding against oneself.

May God bless everyone!
