【Sermon】- Seeking God Series (3) - Seek the Lord and His Strength

2026-03-01 88

Introduction

Good morning. We continue with the series on seeking God. The theme for the third part of this series is "Seek the Lord and His strength." Why not seek the Lord and His glory? Why not seek the Lord and His riches? But rather, seek the Lord and His strength.

Because strength is of utmost importance. In the previous two parts, we discussed "setting your heart to seek the Lord your God," setting your heart being an attitude; and secondly, "if you seek, you will find." What do we seek in the third part? Seek the Lord and His great power.

To believe in the powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ and yet render it powerless is a tragedy in one's life. Brothers and sisters, you must understand that if you believe in a powerful Gospel and yet it becomes powerless, can you truly call it the Gospel? In my view, it is not even heresy; it lacks substance. It is merely a club.

Heresy, at least, has some semblance of extremism. But to believe in a powerful Gospel and render it powerless, it lacks any foundation. A powerless Gospel is fundamentally not the Gospel. Do we, brothers and sisters, truly know the great power of the Lord? Have you genuinely sought the great power of the Lord? This hinges on the word "seek." What is it that you believe in? Therefore, the Apostle Paul wrote in his epistles the following scripture:

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

I tell you, seeking is a crucial part of my character. To this day, I am grateful to an old pastor. Yesterday, I met a pastor friend, and I told him to convey my deep gratitude when he sees that old pastor again. I am thankful for the advice he gave me back then. I asked, "Old pastor, how do you build a church?" He gave me twelve words of wisdom: Study the Bible diligently, pray fervently, and be self-sufficient.

These twelve words may sound like a perfunctory response. You ask how to build a church, expecting some secret formula, but instead, you get "Study the Bible diligently, pray fervently, and be self-sufficient." After hearing it, I didn't feel he was being dismissive, so I diligently put it into practice. Yesterday, I told my pastor friend, "Do you know? I have implemented it to the best of my ability." You ask how I know I have implemented it to the best of my ability? Well, I believe so, can't I?

I tell you, I seek. What does it mean to study the Bible diligently? To this day, I still study the Bible diligently, working tirelessly to explain the scriptures clearly. Oh, I tell you, it is very arduous. It is not easy to understand.

You can try reading 1 Peter and see if you can understand it. I couldn't. So what do I do? Seek, seek, and seek again. Try to understand books like Titus, 1 Timothy, and 2 Timothy. Oh my goodness, I researched and researched, but after reading, I felt troubled. What are they talking about? To put it bluntly, I couldn't stand it. I really couldn't stand it because those explanations were mostly nonsense.

Can you understand Genesis? I couldn't. I found some materials, but I couldn't stand them either. You might say, "Why are you so arrogant?" Actually, it's not arrogance. I tell you, it didn't satisfy one thing: after explaining it to me, I didn't know how to implement it. I didn't know how to implement God's word after reading it, nor did I know how to implement what they said after listening to them. Isn't that the same as not saying anything at all?

Please don't ask me again, "Teacher, what should I do?" I preached a sermon to tell you how to seek, understand? Did you think I was just rambling? Each scripture, I read a hundred times for the short ones and a thousand times for the long ones because I couldn't understand them. There is a Chinese saying, "Read a book a hundred times, and its meaning will become clear."

If I didn't understand it after reading it a hundred times, I would read it two hundred times. If I didn't understand it after two hundred times, I would read it three hundred times, and if that didn't work, I would read it four hundred times. That's how I did it. I was very serious. I didn't dare to be perfunctory. I really didn't have the ability to speak nonsense. Chinese Mingding Doctrine is a theology of seeking, seek and you shall find. So the exegesis of Genesis chapter one comes from seeking. As far as I know, since ancient times, I have searched for a lot of information, and no one has interpreted Genesis like I have.

I couldn't stand their interpretation of Genesis, so I sought God myself. Later, the things I sought out were amazing. You really have to give our Genesis Bible study a thumbs up. We are created in God's image. How God does things is how we do things, and we immediately become creative people. Therefore, Chinese Mingding Doctrine is an original theology, which is to seek God, and then God reveals to us how God creates, and then we create. If you become a creative person, will you lack money? Brothers and sisters, will you lack money?

Look at some of the things some people do. They always mess things up. Instead of spending time to figure things out, they spend time messing things up, becoming very skilled at messing things up. This becomes a "classic." When I see it, I think, "Why did they mess it up again?" Can't you seek? Pray diligently. How to pray? What does it mean to pray diligently? He didn't say, he didn't tell me what it means to pray diligently.

At that time, I lost my job and devoted myself wholeheartedly to serving the church. I had nothing, but I had time. Brothers and sisters, do you know? I prayed whenever I had nothing to do. I felt uncomfortable if I didn't pray. It was really good. I had no money, no people, nothing, but I had time, so I started to pray.

Paul said that he spoke in tongues more than all of you. Later, I also spoke in tongues a lot. Brothers and sisters, don't think that speaking in tongues is not important, but don't just stand there babbling in tongues. I sought God while speaking in tongues. How to study Genesis? Then I looked, but there was no revelation for one day, two days.

According to my character, I would continue on the third day, fourth day, fifth day, sixth day, seventh day, eighth day, that's just my character. Later, you know what? We also said the same thing in healing and deliverance: pray to cast out demons for one minute longer than the devil persists. Why one minute longer? Because we didn't do it right, so we sought. Isn't that right? Thank the Lord, after two weeks, God's revelation came. This is called seeking.

Set your heart to seek your God, and my God will surely reveal to me. I still have a lot of character. Jesus asked for the Holy Spirit. How to ask? Just open the door! Open the door! Open the door! Give me bread! Give me bread! What does the Bible say?

I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because of friendship, yet because of the man’s impudence he will get up and give him anything he needs. So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:8-13)

That's how it is asked for! Study the Bible diligently, pray fervently, and be self-sufficient. I'm not just letting you look at this and that. I'm not that kind of leader. I can't do that. What do I do? You come and see how I do it. You do what I do. I do everything myself.

In the end, I trained myself. I'm not bragging, but I am the best at pastoring in our church, the best at healing and deliverance, the best at dealing with the flesh, and the best at doing renovations, right? Oh, I actually regret it. Why do I regret it? When my father passed away, he actually just had a small cold. If I had my current abilities at that time, the outcome should not have been the same.

A small cold, a small pneumonia should be a very small matter, right? So in my faith, my God is powerful, great, and awesome. I want to seek Him, and my seeking Him is endless. I want to hold on tightly to God's promises. My God is the God of the living. He is extremely rich, powerful, great, and awesome. I am not supporting Him, He is supporting me. I am not helping Him, He is helping me. This is my faith.

Although I didn't handle it right when my father passed away, I later sought God. Why are people afraid of this and afraid of that? Because they don't know how great God's power is. If you really know how great God's power is, and you seek the Lord God, and you seek His power, what are you afraid of? You don't have to be afraid of anything. Why do people worry? It's because they don't know how great God's power is.

Looking back on these years, if you ask me to summarize it in two words: seeking. So David said, "I seek, I will still seek." That's what it means. In the early days, when my father was sick, I hadn't lost my job yet. I thought that job was so good, the salary was so high, but I tell you, it is better to serve God after losing your job.

I regret that I didn't have the faith to quit my job to serve God at that time. If I had served God and sought God's power, my father would have suffered less. Later, I lost my job. How to repay the loan? Three mortgages. Everyone, think about it, that feeling is terrifying.

But in my faith, I seek God, and God will surely support me. Later, I found that God really supported me. Thank God, I didn't know how to cast out demons, so I sought God. Later, God revealed to me how to cast them out. Step by step, which problem did we have a pre-prepared answer for? None of them.

One day, a patient with depression walked in. That was many years ago. Dealing with the demon of depression is too difficult. I often had to pray with him at night, and I prayed whenever I could, but it was ineffective, really ineffective. Does my God not have the power? No, God gave me a difficult problem to seek Him. One day passed, one week passed, one month passed, two months passed, three months passed.

I tell you, I will not give up, it's been three months. I said, as long as you don't give up, I won't give up. We can seek God together, seek His power. What happened later? He got better, the demon was cast out, my God is powerful, great, and awesome. Three months, even if it takes three years, I will still seek, understand?

Actually, seeking is like a snail crawling little by little, inching forward, this is called the character of seeking. At that time, a child had a fever. I prayed and prayed and prayed. Later, I found that while I was praying, I was also seeking. This child was attracting a water demon. Remember, it is very difficult to deal with a fever caused by a water demon possessing a person. Water demons are very difficult. Actually, I didn't know anything at the time. What else could I do besides seek?

But in my faith, I know my God, His promise is established in heaven and will never be abolished. I really want everyone to be able to receive and share this seeking heart in me. Later, my mother had Alzheimer's disease, which was very scary. She didn't know anything. When had I ever seen Alzheimer's disease? I had never seen or experienced it before.

I thought in my heart, my God is powerful, my God is powerful. Do you know what happened? The result was amazing. I sought every day. Everyone should know the price I paid. For a period of time, the demons would not bother my mother when I was there, but as soon as I left for ten minutes, they would come again. These demons were so bad that I wanted to curse.

Later, I got a sofa and lay next to my mother's bed, guarding her for two weeks. Thank God, I got rid of the demon of Alzheimer's disease. From not knowing to getting rid of it, was it hard? It was hard. Is there any seeking that is not hard? All seeking is hard, so hard that sometimes you want to curse. So you will find that my language is vulgar, but my doctrine is not vulgar.

Later, when dealing with cancer patients, I tell you, the longest time I prayed was thirteen or fourteen hours. Some time ago, a cancer patient came, and one of our small pastors served him, also for thirteen or fourteen hours. What do you think it is? This is what our brothers and sisters were seeking at that time. This is the best edification they received while serving cancer patients. Thank God, this is the path of seeking.

In the past few years, brothers and sisters know that we don't need to buy a church. I have a pastor friend who spent seven million Singapore dollars to build a church, occupying only one floor of a building. There are four churches in total, and he occupies one floor for seven million Singapore dollars. The land lease in Singapore is only for thirty years, seven million for thirty years. We don't build physical churches, but we build online churches. That stuff is also expensive, and it also requires the best talent. Why would people be willing to work for us?

But thank God, He brings the talent, and He provides us with resources. It is by faith that we move forward, investing heavily and seeking God. Our God is exceedingly rich, isn't He? Next, we will develop artificial intelligence models, content development and expansion, including teaching people sales, decoration, and training people to solve this series of problems, which will become a very formative platform.

Seeing unsolvable problems, it's not that they are unsolvable, but that I have no solution, so I seek God. Because with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). So all the way, I have been seeking God, seeking His power. On this path of faith, all confusion and all difficulties are readily solved.

We must become seekers, and everything can be readily solved. Believe in God, know His power, know that He is in control, know that He is powerful, great and awesome. Why do we not receive? Because we do not seek. Our God is a God of revelation, a God who works with us to build His glorious church, how wonderful! So the more we walk, the more full of faith we become. As for how to seek, David has already given us a demonstration, and we seek as David sought.

Scripture

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. (1 Chronicles 16:8-11)

Prayer

God, may you do a wonderful thing among us, shaping our brothers and sisters to become seekers, training each of us to emulate David, joyfully seeking you. Not only seek you, but also seek your power, seek your face.

God, give us such a resolve, to emulate David, let us constantly seek you and know you throughout our lives, because there is no end to seeking you. May God grant us such faith, let us know that those who seek will find. Let us set our hearts to seek the Lord and His strength, knowing that the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead is also among us. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

This background is not a joke, we have to go back a little while. At that time, something happened, there was a person named Uzzah. How many years was the Ark of the Covenant placed in their home? Let me calculate. In those days, old Eli took the Ark of the Covenant to fight, and as a result, the Ark was snatched by the Philistines. After being snatched, the Philistines returned the Ark, why? Because the Philistines all developed hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are very painful and troublesome, bleeding every time they excrete, which is very tormenting.

After the Philistines snatched the Ark, they developed hemorrhoids that could not be cured, and they found that it was related to the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord God. So they put the Ark on a cart, and chose two cows that had just given birth to calves to pull the cart, leaving the calves at home. According to common sense, cows that are protective of their calves will not go far, but the cart went all the way to the Israelites. The Israelites took the Ark and placed it in the house of Abinadab.

Uzzah was the son of Abinadab. How long was the Ark in their house? From old Eli to Samuel, then to King Saul, and finally to King David, it was at least fifty or sixty years, or even seventy or eighty years. Uzzah looked at the cabinet in his house every day, although it was golden, he didn't take it seriously when he went in and out. Later, David wanted to transport the Ark to Jerusalem. He did not seek God, thinking that since the Philistines transported it by cart, we can also transport it by cart.

As a result, during the transportation, the ox stumbled, and Uzzah reached out to support the Ark. With this support, Uzzah was directly struck and killed by God. After Uzzah was struck and killed, David was also stunned. I ask you, who would dare to want this Ark? Why did Uzzah support the Ark? He wanted to "help" God, but he didn't know that God would take care of it Himself, and the Ark would not fall at all. So I often tell everyone, never be clever and "help" God, that is a matter of life and death.

David then placed the Ark in the house of Obed-Edom, and then Obed-Edom's whole family began to be blessed, greatly blessed in just three months. David was very confused, the Ark had been in Uzzah's house for decades and he had never seen any blessings, how could it be blessed in Obed-Edom's house in three months? Where can this be explained?

I tell you, whether a person is blessed or not depends entirely on his attitude towards God. Some people are fundamentally ungodly, and they will not be blessed. During the time that the Ark was in Obed-Edom's house, the Philistines heard that David had become king of Israel in Jerusalem, and they began to send troops to attack David.

At that time, the Philistines sent heavy troops to kill David. As a result, after Uzzah was struck and killed, David still chose to seek God. At this time, the Philistines attacked, and he continued to seek God. As a result, the Philistines were defeated by God's army, not by David at all.

It is recorded in the Bible that David sought God and asked if he could send troops to fight. God said yes. Then when he went out to fight, David asked again, how should I fight? God said you go around behind them. When you hear the sound of footsteps in the tops of the mulberry trees, you rush up. As a result, God acted first, and David was just picking a fruit in the back.

It is so good for David to seek God. Is it God's power to defeat the Philistines? Yes. Is it also God's power to strike and kill Uzzah? Yes. So after David learned his lesson, he said that I would seek the Lord and His strength.

If your belief in the Lord is just a theory, just reciting scriptures, but without the power of God, I have to tell you that it is not even heresy or extremism, because there is not even a "end", and you don't know where it is biased. Our God is a God who solves problems, not just reciting scriptures and saying painless words, our God is really powerful.

David's summary is to seek the Lord and His strength. Where does David's strength come from? It comes from God. How could David kill lions, wolves, and bears? That's because he had the power, because God helped him. Can David defeat the Philistines by himself? It seems he can, and it seems he can't, but the Philistines were ultimately defeated because of God's power.

Why can we cast out demons? Because it is the power of God. It is not that I am powerful, but that God is powerful. Why are you healed? Because God is powerful. So our belief in Jesus must return to a basic point, and this most basic point is the power of God.

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

This is a passage that the Chinese Mingding Doctrine most often talks about. At this time, David wanted to bring the Ark in again. He said that I didn't do it right last time, why? Because after checking the scriptures, God's revelation said that only the Levites could carry the Ark, and the Ark was carried by people, not placed on a cart.

Putting it on a cart is what the Philistines did. Are you learning from the Philistines, or are you learning from the revelation of God written by Moses? You must learn from God's revelation. The same is true for building a church, don't build a church full of political struggles. If building a church is not built according to God's revelation, it is useless.

Some people are not seekers of God at all. They spend a lot of time doing a bunch of things they think are right, and they are very skilled at doing wrong things. How many things are done according to God's word? In the end, people die without knowing how they died. So if building a church is not built according to God's will, the risk is very high.

The background of this passage is that Uzzah was struck and killed, and then Obed-Edom was blessed. After the Philistines were repelled by God's army, David returned again to transport the Ark to the city of Jerusalem and sang a song.

After the Ark entered the city of Jerusalem, God blessed David, making him rich, powerful, and honorable. This is what we should seek from God's power. Always remember one thing, it is a tragedy when people believe in a powerful gospel and it becomes powerless. I have seen many phenomena that people cannot explain. Some people seem to be fine, but after building a church, how can they suffer so much and die miserably? Did God make a mistake?

I tell you, God did not make a mistake. There is a most tragic thing in this logic, that is, they think that serving God is helping God. But from the first day I served God, I understood that it is not I who help God, but God who helps me. If you are a person who thinks you are "helping God", you will feel that you have made a great contribution to God, and once you encounter difficulties, you will wonder why this is so. If you observe carefully, you will find the same phenomenon.

My God is Powerful, Great and Awesome

When the Ark of the Covenant was snatched by the Philistines and placed in the temple of Dagon, the next day they got up and saw that their idols were all broken. Who did it? God did it. Our God is a God who performs miracles and is powerful. The Philistines all got hemorrhoids, who did it? God did it. Then you got hemorrhoids, who did it? God did it. Do you think God is humorous? God is humorous.

Then does God's Ark need you to protect it? It doesn't need you to protect it. Does God's Ark need you to protect it? No need. Later, the Philistines wanted to send the Ark back, and they came up with an idea to let the heifers send the Ark back. Was it sent back? It was sent back. Who sent it back? God Himself sent it back. Finally, in the house of Abinadab, it was placed for decades. Many people have a treasure but don't know it is a treasure, so they are not blessed, it is placed in vain.

Then Uzzah in their family saw that the cabinet was very good, and he touched it when he had nothing to do, this is Uzzah. So he didn't take it seriously. But I want to tell you, my God is powerful, great and awesome, it is not I who support Him, but He who supports me. The Ark will come back by itself, you don't need to protect God, and you don't need to protect the Ark.

So I especially hate some brothers and sisters, a sister came and said: "Pastor, I will protect you." Do I need you to protect me? With your little ability to protect me? This is what I especially hate to hear. Because he can protect other pastors, and it doesn't matter if he protects them into a curse. Some people also say: "Pastor, I will help you build a church." I especially hate this sentence.

You should help yourself first, and you still want to help me build a church. They think I will appreciate it if they say this, but I hate this thing very much. What is helping me build a church? Do I need it? What I need is God's presence, building a church is working with God. So our God is powerful, great and awesome, if this thing doesn't get into your head, it will be a tragedy.

My God Does Not Need People to Help Him

From the first day I sought, I sought a God who would help me, not I find a God and I come to help Him. Can everyone understand? Can you hear the taste? You say this Uzzah, he didn't know the Ark was in his house for so many years, wasn't it a tragedy? God's Ark, the ox stumbled, who made the ox stumble? God. Then can God not protect God's Ark? This Uzzah went up and supported the Ark, this is called being cheap, and God slapped him and killed him.

So this ignorance is very tragic, I tell you, in the past few years, I have met many pastors who help God, what happened later? They are all very miserable. If you are a pastor listening to me say this online, you should stand up your nerves and your senses. Don't help God anymore, don't be Uzzah anymore, if the foundation is wrong, it will be a tragedy.

The Philistines sent the Ark by ox cart, David and the others did not seek God, and this Uzzah did not say that this was not right. Who did he learn from? Using an ox cart, he learned from the Philistines. You learn from the Philistines and put it on an ox cart, what do you think? I don't think it's good, I didn't seek God.

Then Uzzah came in and out all day long, and the Ark was placed in the storage room, did he seek God? He didn't seek God, he could see the Ark every day, but he didn't seek God. Who put this thing in our house, who is so annoying, why don't they take it away? Is that the case?

If he knew that this was the Ark of the living God, wow, how awesome! I ask you, with this attitude, can the house of Abinadab and the house of Uzzah not be blessed? They must be blessed. Occasionally, there is dust on the Ark, and he has to wipe it off, while wiping it, he mumbles, so annoying, so annoying.

I have come across some pastors who utter the most appalling things. Once, I was on a flight, and a pastor was seated next to me. I said, "What a coincidence to see you here! What are you up to these days?" He replied, "Ah, I've finally卸下了那个苦差 (unburdened myself from that drudgery)." Drudgery? Oh my goodness! This reveals a lack of understanding of the awe-inspiring, mighty, and formidable nature of God.

If Uzzah had sought understanding, would he have been struck down? He would have considered: "David is not doing this right! This is not how the Ark should be handled! Moses wrote in the scriptures how the Ark should be treated." Would he have been struck down? No, he would not have been. The Ark was in their house, but he did not learn; he used a Philistine cart and then reached out to steady it – a tragedy.

When David saw the death, what did he do? "Let's not transport it to Jerusalem yet," he thought, "lest more people die in Jerusalem." So, he placed it in the house of Obed-Edom. Do not think that Obed-Edom impulsively took it home that day. Obed-Edom had been longing for it, thinking, "How wonderful it would be to have the Ark in my house." Through seeking, he had a deep understanding of God.

Do you think it was a spur-of-the-moment decision? No. Was Obed-Edom remarkable? Yes! A person with a seeking heart is sure to be blessed. Some ask me how Obed-Edom sought. I tell you, those recorded in the Bible, like Rahab, knew the stories of the Israelites inside out! How could one know without seeking?

And Rebekah, in her homeland, heard of Abraham's offering of Isaac and the promise God gave to Isaac and Abraham: "You shall possess the gate of your enemies." How could she have known without seeking? Rebekah later married Isaac; how could she have known without seeking? So, these individuals, Rahab, Rebekah, and others recorded in the Bible, none of them acted ignorantly or impulsively; they all sought understanding.

Therefore, we must understand that Obed-Edom was remarkable. If he did not know God, what do you think would have happened when the Ark was brought to his house? Obed-Edom would have met a tragic end. Do you understand? After seeking, Obed-Edom knew that the Ark was not to be handled in that way. Later, I suspect Obed-Edom told David that the Ark should be handled according to the revelation of the Lord God. How did he know? He had read it beforehand.

I detest those who readily claim to have a heart for service and then ask me to teach them how to serve. If you truly have a heart for service, you must learn. What will you do if you are not prepared? How many years do you spend in primary school, secondary school, and university? Twelve plus four, that's sixteen years, and after sixteen years, you can only get a lousy job, isn't it? If you truly have a heart for service, first resolve your seeking.

Encountering Setbacks, Continuing to Seek

You know the shock Uzzah's death had on David was beyond ordinary. David saw Uzzah die! David had a mindset like mine, which is that I did not do it right. God's promise stands firm in heaven, but I did not do it right. Before he could figure it out, the Philistines came to attack him. The Philistines came to attack him, so he quickly sought God.

Now that you have just struck down Uzzah, should I seek God? Will God strike me down too? David did not think that way; he sought God. He had always sought God in this way throughout his life, except for one thing: he did not seek guidance on how to transport the Ark to Jerusalem. He did not know whether he understood what the Ark was about when the Philistines came; he did not care and went to fight the Philistines.

As soon as he sought, God told him that he could go. After going, do this: go around behind them, and when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the trees, then advance. If you do not hear the sound of marching, wait there for me. God defeated the Philistines; it was God's army. David thought, "Every time I seek God, I do not suffer losses; it is only when I do not seek God that things go wrong."

So David sang a psalm, saying, "God, I will praise you; I will sing to you." Praising even after Uzzah was struck down? Because that was the power of God. Therefore, seek the Lord and His strength. Without the power of the Lord God, how could David have defeated Goliath? How could he have escaped Saul's pursuit? How could he have later become the king of Israel? That was impossible.

When you encounter setbacks, do not give up; our God is a good God. How is it that God is still good even after striking down Uzzah? It is because you did not do it right. Brothers and sisters, if we are to blame, let us blame ourselves for not doing it right. Build the church according to God's revelation, and even if you make a mistake once and encounter setbacks, continue to seek.

I built a church to serve people, and later I lost my job. I did not have the courage to blame God because I knew that my God would not make a mistake; I was the one who made a mistake. Now I am grateful when I think about it. Why? Because when I was building the church, I was helping God, and later I deeply repented.

I have a habit: when something fails, did I do it wrong? I do not blame heaven, earth, or anyone else. We must know that it is not acceptable to just speak nonsense, say nonsense, or serve nonsense. If you truly have a heart for service, start by seeking God.

Later, I encountered many fools. I just met one a few days ago. He had accomplished nothing in his life, was in his forties, and blamed his father, his mother, and everyone else, but not himself. What can you do? Isn't that foolish? God will not make a mistake, nor will demons make a mistake; we often make mistakes.

Why do we need to seek? If we do not have the answer, shouldn't we seek? Isn't that right? Later, David found the answer: the Ark was to be carried by people; God had already told people this.

Does the Bible tell us a lot about how to build a church? Yes! Have you sought guidance? If you have not sought guidance and then just do things blindly, if you are a preacher among us and hear me say this and then think in your heart, "I want to be a seeker," then I will be grateful to God.

Cultivating the Habit of Seeking

When David was tending sheep, a lion came, a bear came, and he killed the lion and the bear. Was it easy to kill a lion and a bear? Actually, it was David who was seeking. How did he gain wisdom? By seeking. How did he seek? Through prayer. As you meditate and mutter, "God, look at me tending sheep," God will give him revelation. What kind of revelation do you ask? He suddenly thought of making a slingshot, this stone-throwing machine, which was incredibly accurate!

That stone, let's not talk about anything else, just a stone the size of a goose egg or a chicken egg, when thrown out, would kill a person if it hit their head. Moreover, his stone would have its own aiming system. How did he aim? In the spiritual realm, God controlled that stone, accurately hitting Goliath's forehead. Isn't that amazing?

And was that speed the speed at which David threw it? No, it was God who accelerated it in the middle. God could give him navigation in the sky, more accurate than GPS, more accurate than Beidou. That power was God accelerating in the air; even lions and bears could not withstand it. So, all of this came from David's seeking.

Later, David was pursued and acted like a madman in Achish, because the people of Achish said, "Isn't this David, the one from Israel?" They wanted to kill him, so he acted like a madman. He escaped this disaster by acting like a madman, and later he brought his army back to Achish. Do you think Achish forgot? No, he didn't! If he didn't forget, how did he come back again?

I tell you, David sought God. Could God erase this memory from Achish's mind? Yes! Even evil spirits can change people's memories. Achish was going to fight Saul, and David said, "I will go with you." If he went and really confronted Saul, and David went out and killed Saul, what would happen? Wouldn't that be troublesome? What to do? Seek God. As soon as he sought God, the Philistine commanders said, "Don't bring him," helping David.

Originally, David didn't want to go either, but in that kind of situation, what to do? I tell you, if God didn't have this ability, what could he do? There was no way to do it. Thankfully, our God is mighty. Isn't this cultivating the habit of seeking? David's family was taken captive by the Amalekites, so he went to pursue them, seeking what? Seeking God.

I tell you, what David did in his life was seeking. If people don't seek and just throw time into it, foolishly throwing time into it, becoming another Uzzah, wouldn't that be a tragedy? How many lives of Uzzah do you have? There are many problems in life; we need God's power too much.

Building a church requires it, the year before last required it, the year before that required it, and today it still requires it. So, we must cultivate the habit of seeking. In the first seven years, we established the Chinese Mingding Doctrine system; in the second seven years, we began to develop and enhance various abilities; the third seven years will definitely be much stronger than the previous two seven years. Seek God, and often ponder.

Have you cultivated the habit of seeking? Many brothers and sisters among us like to do things wrong, and after they do things wrong, their time cannot be effective. Then they keep throwing time into it, becoming more and more foolish. For example, if a child doesn't study well, they get tutoring, but the more they get tutored, the lazier they become. Why? Because that's not how it's done. If it's not done right, throwing time into it will only make you more foolish.

Some brothers among us say, "I don't have time." What do you do with your time? You go into a daze. He is not seeking; he is spacing out. Can you seek by spacing out? He is not trying to find a way to do things right. A drawing that I can do in five minutes takes him a day. How can he be competitive? Did he really draw it all day? There are not even a few lines. When he brings over a drawing, I say, "This drawing has a total of fifty lines. You spent a day drawing fifty lines. How long did it take you to draw one line?"

Let's say it took an hour to draw one line. Fifty lines, that's more than a minute to draw one line? How do you draw it? I don't know how to draw it. A line takes two seconds to draw, but you spend a minute drawing it. How slow is that? So sometimes you still feel like you don't have time. When your wife sees you, she says, "Hurry up and draw!" When your mother sees you, she says, "Hurry up and draw!" When I come over, I say, "Why are there so many drawings to draw?" Why? Because of seeking. How to seek? If I didn't do it right, then I will do it right.

Seek the Lord and His Strength

Without the power of God, Christianity cannot stand. With the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead among us, what problems cannot be solved? For example, when you work, you must be a seeker. How to seek? If I didn't do it right, then I will do it right. If you don't want to seek, don't want to ponder, and just want the answer, that is impossible.

Seeking can also lead to finding direction. Why did God create a tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden? Why? When many people seek God, they always ask with their own preconceived answers, and even subconsciously think that God didn't do it right, and only they did it right. This attitude is not true seeking, and seeking in this way will not get anything in a lifetime, but only seek God's anger.

Why do people ask such foolish questions? We often do not do it right, but never think that God did not do it right. Seeking is not to solve a specific thing, such as seeking my father's healing. True seeking is seeking the Lord and His power. If you are not a person who seeks the Lord and His power, and you only stare at the difficulties in front of you, the road will only get narrower and narrower.

Do you really know God? Do you really know the power of God? Whether it is a problem in the workplace or a challenge in service, you need to seek. But what to seek? Don't always ask those operational questions, but seek the power of God. If you gain the power of God, the problems you face will naturally be solved. If your goal is only to solve your family's illness, then you are seeking people, not the Lord God.

So we must turn to God and seek to know God, and not just look for operational methods. Don't always ask, "Teacher, what should I do? How should I pray for my father?" I have been talking for more than an hour, and I am talking about how to seek God and His power. Our God does not need people to help Him. When we encounter setbacks, we must continue to seek and cultivate the habit of seeking.

Whether you encounter lions, bears, or your family is taken captive, you will encounter various problems in your life, and it is useless to come up with ideas by拍脑袋 (brainstorming). I have talked so much about David's experiences, and I have also talked about how I seek, just hoping that everyone can be a good seeker. I tell you, God's promises will never be abandoned, and every one of them will be fulfilled in you and me. Amen!

Our sermon is over here, may God bless everyone.
